Urban Decay: Naked 3 Palette Review!

Hey guys,

Soooo after much waiting and contemplating, I decided to ask my mom for the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette for Christmas. I'm a student and 50US/45euros is a lot to spend on makeup! AND I need to budget my money carefully. SO i decided to wait until Christmas for this palette.

Honestly, with Urban Decay, the packaging is always impeccable. I am a sucker for packaging. When I see a product in Sephora and the packaging is bright and pretty and girly, you best believe that my butt is over there checking it out, deciding whether I should buy it or not.

Sad but true story.

With that said, when i unwrapped this little beauty I was more than impressed. It seems to me that the  theme behind this palette was feminine rose golds and they incorporated that theme in every inch of the palette, down to the packaging.

The packaging on the Naked 3 is def my favorite! It has clips on either end that snap shut which prevents dust and a bunch of other gross stuff that can get into your makeup. The original Naked Palette had this suede like material that got grimy fast and although it was magnetic, it still felt quite flimsy. The overall presentation and packaging of the Naked 3 Palette is just perfection! I can't deal, I love it! I mean who doesn't love gold plated detailing on anything and it's reallll not overdone.
Out of the three Naked Palettes, this one is definitely the most different, in terms of color palette.

I own the very first Naked Palette and I do love that one. It's totally suitable for achieving a natural daytime look (e/s: Naked/Buck/Sidecar) as well as jazzing your look up with some of the darker nighttime colors, with the sparkly browns (e/s: Darkhorse/Smog).

I didn't purchase the Naked 2 Palette because I felt that it was too similar to the original Naked Palette. To me, nothing much had changed.

The Naked 3 Palette however, is such a fun, flirty, young palette; perfect for a date look or a simple, chic and flirty look. All of the eyeshadows have a pink hue/undertone to it and I think that this is what makes the palette so unique.

What's also great about this palette is that it is super versatile in the sense that it looks great on every skin tone. Before deciding to get it I saw tons of beauty gurus on Youtube use it and many of the girls I watch on there are from several different ethnic backgrounds. So if you were worried about that, worry no further b/c it looks on great on just about everybody.

Here are some swatches of the colors in the palette :-

If you're still contemplating on whether to buy it I hope this blog post helped make your decision a bit easier. Also, these palettes last quite a while. I've had my original Naked Palette for about 3 years and I haven't hit pan on any of the eyeshadows; and I use it quite regularly in conjunction with the Naked 3 Palette. I say it's worth the investment!
